ASTRID NEWTON RUSH Astrid Newton Rush, ASID, is a licensed interior designer with 20 years in practice both in the United States and Europe. Astrid’s international experience in the field of interior design covers all facets of both residential and commercial design. Her portfolio includes estate homes in London and Rome, historic restorations in New York and Connecticut, offices on New York City’s prestigious Fifth Avenue, as well as waterfront residences and offices in South Florida. Astrid holds a Master’s Degree from the Free University in Berlin, Germany. Her professional credentials include NCIDQ certification, professional membership in the American Society of Interior Designers (Director, Florida South Chapter, 1997-98), and the Master’s Diploma in Flying Star Feng Shui, Four Pillars of Destiny Analysis, and I Ching Divination from Master Raymond Lo’s School of Feng Shui and Destiny in Hong Kong. Astrid is responsible for introducing feng shui to the Continuing Education and Open University Department curriculum at Florida Atlantic University. She has taught both interior design and feng shui at Florida Atlantic University and the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. Having studied classic Chinese feng shui with Master Raymond Lo of Hong Kong and Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai of Malaysia, Astrid now teaches continuing education classes approved nationally by the American Society of Interior Designers.
